How do I book a behavior consultation?

What if I’ve tried training before and it didn’t work?

Do I have to be present during training?

Yes, your presence is essential. Our goal is to set you and your dog up for long-term success, and that starts with teamwork from day one.

Where do sessions take place?

We meet you where your dog lives their life. Training sessions take place in and around your home in your area, as well as at nearby parks and real-life scenarios your dog encounters daily. No sterile classrooms or artificial setups, we train where it matters.

Do you work with aggressive or reactive dogs?

Yes. Many of our most successful clients were dogs other trainers turned away. Our lead behaviorist, your trainer is experienced in managing aggression, reactivity, leash frustration, and trauma recovery. How much does dog training cost in your area?

Behavior-first training is priced by program, not by the hour. The plan we recommend depends on your dog's behavior assessment and your goals. We share exact pricing during the consultation call, after we understand the scope. Most clients work with us across multiple sessions to lock in lasting change.

What are the most common dog behavior problems you fix?

The cases we see most often: leash reactivity, pulling, jumping on guests, resource guarding, separation anxiety, fear-based aggression, recall failure, and counter-surfing. The behavior-first approach starts with the why behind the behavior, then builds the response pattern around your dog's environment.

Is in-home training better than a group class?

In-home training works in the environment your dog actually lives in. Group classes are useful for puppy socialization, but they can't address how your dog behaves at the front door, in your kitchen, or on your specific walking route. The behavior we want to change happens at home and in the neighborhood, so that's where training happens.

How long does it take to train a dog with anxiety?

Anxiety work moves at the dog's pace, not a predetermined timeline. Pup Scouts is a very personable, reliable, conscientious, organized, trustworthy dog walking service. They are quick to respond via phone and pet portal. Each different walker seems to care about and enjoy being with the animals. The walks are all throughout the area with lots of variety and photographs of my pooch and his new friends.
